社會正義集中

社會正義集中與 2028 屆一起啟動,使學生能夠研究與種族、性別、性取向等相關的一些最複雜的問題。學生學習關鍵技能,以成為並領導變革,以改善邊緣化社區的環境。教授大膽的領導技能,學生準備在我們不斷變化的世界中有效地宣導人權。

誰是社會正義之虎?

社會正義之虎對他人有極大的同情心,並且知道世界有可能成為一個更加和平和包容的地方。瞭解他人的複雜需求,社會正義之虎不怕為正確的事情挺身而出,並制定創新的解決方案來造福有需要的人。社會正義之虎對政治內外發生的“噪音”有深刻的認識,採取戰略、道德和有條不紊的方法來創造積極的變化。

HIA board

行動標誌委員會 (HIA)

HIA是一個領導小組,為我們的校園提供激勵和創造機會,以實現巴黎聖母院的標誌。該委員會的學生擔任領導角色,並接受計劃和領導務虛會、通過反思和祈禱進行公開演講、規劃社區服務和社會正義活動的培訓。所有文化,信仰,精神道路和傳統的學生都參加。

模擬審判

學生參加類比刑事審判,同時扮演必須知道證人陳述事實的證人,必須準備直接和交叉詢問問題的審判律師,以及與審判甚至法院法警相關的憲法問題的審前律師。使用紅木城的官方法院,學生可以獲得盡可能真實的審判體驗。

Tigers Interview Senator Becker as Part of the Tigers Vote Project

Tigers from the National Honors Society (NHS) launched the Tigers Vote Project this year, an initiative to build student understanding of how our government and elections work. Over the course of two months leading up to the national presidential election and local elections, Tigers sent weekly communications to the student body including newsletters and videos. 
 
The Tigers Vote Project representatives, in partnership with Notre Dame Belmont's Journalism program and Tiger TV,  were able to sit down with State Senator Josh Becker to discuss items including the legislature's annual calendar, issues specific to the SF Peninsula, voting and democracy, lowering the voting age, culture and self-censorship, the Phones-Free School Act and advice for the next generation of voters.

NDB’s academic environment helped my self-confidence. I felt like I was allowed and encouraged to be myself and grow into myself.  I had an eclectic group of friends who have all gone on to contribute to the world in a variety of ways. The structure of Notre Dame academics and sports programs prepared me to be self-directed and to rise to challenges. My general take-away from Catholic-based education is to live a life of service and compassion.
